Millennial railcard - latest updates: 26-30 train discount still 'impossible' to buy as website continues to crash
The elusive 26-30 railcard launched nationwide this morning, but buying one is still far from easy
Hoping to get hold of the new 26-30 railcard, dubbed the millennial railcard, today?
You may have a struggle on your hands – within minutes of the 10,000 available railcards going on sale at 7am this morning, the 26-30railcard.co.uk website was struggling to cope with demand and has been consistently crashing since then.
The Independent's deputy head of travel, Helen Coffey, was particularly keen to get her hands on one as she turns 31 tomorrow and will no longer be eligible for the coveted card after today.

The photo upload page may be what defeats me. "Unknown Error" is my nemesis. It is trying to get me to LEAVE THE WEBSITE. Oh, the humanity.
It logged me out. I can't believe it. Am going to have to give up for a few hours while I celebrate my birthday, before returning to my gruelling "refresh" millstone later tonight. This railcard has officially broken my spirit.
I GOT IT!!!!
I can barely speak I'm so giddy. 10 hours of my life later, I am the proud owner of a millennial railcard. I need to go and lie down in a dark room for the next 12 hours to recover.
