Luka Modric: The Croatian midfielder failed to turn up for Spurs’ team flight to the United States

Tottenham still waiting for acceptable Luka Modric offer reveals Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has said the club's asking price for Luka Modric has yet to be met, and if that remains the case he expects the Croatia international to return to first-team training.

Ivan Rakitic: Committed a needless foul on Balotelli just before half-time which handed Pirlo the opportunity to curl home Italy’s goal. Nonetheless, Rakitic offered some neat touches and improved as the game wore on. 6/10
Ognjen Vukojevic: Struggled to impose himself on the Italian midfield during the first period as Pirlo et al controlled the tone of the game. But Vukojevic battled hard throughout and helped to drag his team back into the encounter during the second period. 6/10
Luka Modric:(pictured) Rather quiet in the first half but grew in influence during the second period as Slaven Bilic moved Modric behind the Croatian strikers. The Tottenham star was able to work a number of shooting opportunities, though his accuracy was somewhat lacking. 7/10
Ivan Perisic: Endured a relatively frustrating afternoon. Unable to really offer much in attack and removed from proceedings just after the hour mark. 6/10

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has warned clubs interested in Luka Modric that the Croatia playmaker will not be sold until Spurs' £35million asking price is met.
