Preview

Barcelona looked down and out after losing the first leg of their last-16 tie 4-0 against Paris St Germain in February, but produced a remarkable 6-1 second-leg triumph last month to reach the quarter-finals of Europe's premier club competition.

They gave themselves another mountain to climb as they suffered a crushing 3-0 loss to Juventus in Turin last Tuesday in the first leg of the last-eight meeting, but their past form would suggest they cannot be written off just yet.

It’s a big game for…

Dani Alves: The Brazilian right back, who moved from the Nou Camp to Turin last year, helped keep former team mate Neymar quiet in the quarter-final first leg on April 11 as Juventus won 3-0 at home.

And ahead of the second-leg Alves remarked that should they win this evening, they will be eliminating the best team in the world from the Champions League. No pressure, then.

Remember when…

Ten-man Juventus booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals with a dramatic extra-time victory over Barcelona.

2 min: Juventus free-kick inside the Barcelona half. It's played short, worked out wide to the left flank before Sergi muscles in to force the throw-in.

4 min: Dybala wins a foul after being brought down by Iniesta. He had originally been rolling about on the deck after an earlier challenge, which the ref waved away, but, as if by magic, sprung to his feet to claim a loose ball before Iniesta intervened with his reckless challenge. It's as if Dybala was faking an injury...

6 min: Higuain shows some silky feet to skip past two Barcelona players before releasing Cuadrado down the right. The forward goes on to draw a foul from Pique near the right-hand side byline but Juventus struggle to make anything from the following free-kick.

9 min: Neymar races down the left flank to meet a long searching ball over the top but Bonucci comes barreling in to clear the danger. Barca free-kick but once again the Juventus defence stands strong and the delivery is nodded clear.

12 min: From just outside the Juventus box, Neymar dinks in a clever arcing ball to pick Suarez ahead of him. With his back to the goal, the forward attempts to nod sidewards to the incoming Messi but struggles to find his team-mate. Goal-kick for the visitors.

15 min: Juventus show their class with a series of short, sharp passes between themselves deep inside their own half before Cuadrado is let loose on the right. Storming towards the edge of the Barca box, he eyes Dybala to his left but Alba times his recovering challenge to perfection to deny the cross and halt Juventus' attack in its tracks.

19 min: Barcelona starting to ask some testing questions as Messi and Iniesta float ominously across the edge of the Juventus box, sharing the ball greedily between themselves. The space eventually opens up for Messi to pounce who shifts the ball onto his left before taking it the other way and letting fire with a shot. It's blocked and the danger is booted clear.
