Ashan Ali: Amber alert issued for 15-year-old who is at risk of 'serious harm or even death'
Authorities urge anyone to provide information on abduction

New York police have issued an Amber Alert over a 15-year-old boy whose abduction puts him “at risk of serious harm or even death”.
Authorities announced on Wednesday morning that they were investigating the child abduction which took place near 46th Avenue in Queens some hours earlier.
They say he was taken under circumstances that lead police to believe he was “in imminent danger of serious harm and / or death.”
The 15-year-old, Ashan Ali, was described as “an unknown race male,” about 15 years old with brown hair and brown eyes.
He is around 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds, said the police alert, which detailed he was last seen wearing a t-shirt and jeans.
New York police are also searching for a suspect who was seen in a white 2009 Toyota Sienna SUV with New York license plate number JJX5315 when the abduction happened on Wednesday.
Authorities said 28-year-old Mohsin Ali, who was the minor’s brother, had “fled in a white Toyota Sienna with NY plate JJX 5315 with his 15-year-old brother who he threatened to harm.”
He was described as “an unknown race male” with brown hair and brown eyes who was almost 6 feet tall.
The suspect was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured T-shirt, and had tattoos on both arms and chest, in addition to cuts on his arms, added police.
