In July 2010, The Independent embraced its dedication to learning by moving its Education section inside the main jacket. Now, this four-to-six-page section appears every Thursday. The Independent is the market leader for courses advertising (45 per cent MMS 11/09-11/10), while for the past two years our education editor Richard Garner has won the Ted Wragg Award for sustained commitment to education journalism.

Our student portal is the only channel dedicated just to students on any national newspaper website. We also offer a huge array of advertising opportunities online, including tailored solutions such as page skins, sponsored editorial and unique branding opportunities

We also publish a selection of standalone supplements throughout the year, with a particular focus on Postgraduate and MBA.

The Independent and The Association Of MBAs

This year The Independent and The Association of MBAs will enter their 20th year in partnership. The Independent remains the sole media sponsor of the prestigious Accredited MBA fair and a proud supporter of The Association of MBAs. The paper is now viewed as the definitive source of impartial information on programme providers, career opportunities post-graduation and general developments in the executive education market. The Independent provides advertisers with a unique and comprehensive portfolio of products and advertising opportunities that target education and recruitment in and around this sector.

The deadline for the Thursday education pages is Tuesday at 12pm prior to publication
