Support for Sutton's Banksy
A public vote on whether to keep a piece of Banksy graffiti in the London borough of Sutton has seen an initial wave of support for the renowned guerrilla artist.
More than 85 per cent of respondents so far have urged the council to preserve it. Despite operating a zero-tolerance stance on graffiti, the council is letting people decide what happens to the mural in Beddington Farm Road.
It is inviting residents to email their views to artorgraffiti@sutton.gov.uk by 31 October. More than 80 people emailed in over the first weekend.
