Stimulating trail through the labyrinths of modern science to prove that - logically, scientifically - God (or something very like Him) must exist. Davies, a distinguished physicist, is lucid, spry, persuasive. But sceptics may feel that, if only they knew as much about black holes and quantum logic as the author, they could use the same information to prove him wrong.
