Fan of the Fab Four? Help write a book. The former publicist of Sir Paul McCartney is creating what he hopes will be the ultimate Beatles book, and is asking the band's fans to contribute.

UK publication The Telegraph reports that Geoff Baker, who worked 15 years as McCartney's publicity chief, is hoping to document the lives of the Beatles through the point of view of the band's fans. He is asking for photos, anecdotes, and memories to create a book he plans to title The Beatles Fanthology.

The book will span the band's beginnings in 1957 to present day - contributions from any decade are encouraged. Baker will then edit the submissions into what he calls the first full and illustrated biography of the Beatles' fan phenomenon.

"The fans made the band and they have continued to make the band through five decades," stated Baker, who also worked under the band's press officer, Derek Taylor, at Apple Corps. "But I feel their crucial side of the story that Derek called 'the 20th century's greatest romance' has never been told properly before."

Baker adds, "I'm looking for those little moments that may be personal to one but will be understood by us all."
