The third edition of this bracing cinema bookazine includes a conversation between Sydney Pollack and John Boorman, interviews with Lawrence Kasdan and Sally Potter, and behind-the-scenes essays on Short Cuts and Farewell my Concubine. Coppola's journals are printed at length, and Michael Tolkin (The Player) writes about the struggles of a screenwriter. It describes itself pompously as 'a forum for film-makers' but there seems no reason why ordinary filmgoers shouldn't have a look, as it's mostly excellent.
