Meet Mr Idea and friends!

readers introduce new members to join a publishing phenomenon
We marked the 40th anniversary of the Mr Men, Roger Hargreaves's global publishing phenomenon, by tracking down people who share names with the famous characters. We also invited you to try to win a prize by suggesting ideas for a new addition to the cartoon line-up. After Mr Tickle's debut in 1971, each of the 47 Mr Men and 34 Little Miss books introduced a different creation with a personality that conveyed a simple moral message. We asked you to do the same.
Creative readers responded by putting pen, paint and crayon to paper to produce some colourful ideas for new characters. Our winning entry came from seven-year-old Sophie Peschiera, from London, who painted the lightbulb-shaped Mr Idea. As his name suggests, he "has lots of ideas".
Sophie wins the complete Mr Men box set of 47 titles, worth £117. Ten runners-up will each receive a copy of the Mr Tickle book signed by Adam Hargreaves. Here are the top five entrants.
