This quarterly magazine takes us cross county in the first tranche of essays on Pakistan, to reveal a nation of diverse, regionalist identities.

The second section is devoted to its literary tradition: Aamar Hussein takes a trip through the canon in "Found in Translation" from Ghalib to the post-Partition stories of Intizar Hussain, while Bina Shah's essay, "Paperback Writers", questions whether the 'boom' of new writers are capitalising on the terrorism narratives that the rest of the world has come to expect.
