Tom Hanks goes to the moon, and straight to the top of the chart, in the critically praised space adventure Apollo 13. Further down the chart, there are relatively weak debuts (although on a larger number of cinema screens) from a band of be-helmeted morphoids in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Sylvester Stallone in Judge Dredd, the Hollywood debut of the British wunderdirector Danny Cannon; both films arrive in Britain on 21 July.
