Catwoman comes out as bisexual
Comic strip character revealed Batman's nemisis had 'always flirted around it'

Some may have suspected it, others may have fantasised about it. Now it’s confirmed – Catwoman is bisexual.
The latest edition of the Catwoman comic reveals that there was more than we knew to the character also also as Selina Kyle.
“She’s flirted around it - often quite literally - for years now,” comic book writer Genevieve Valentine wrote in a blog post. “For me, this wasn't a revelation so much as a confirmation.”
DC Comics' Catwoman has been an arch-nemesis for Batman for 75 years, becoming an antihero over time and spinning off into her own comic book series. In 2004, the comic book won a Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) award for the portrayal of an openly gay character, Holly Robinson.

Ms Valentine explained a scene in which the whip-carrying Catwoman is seen kissing the character Eiko Hasigawa, heiress to the Hasigawa Family.
“Please be assured that Selina's longstanding connection to Batman has not been forgotten, that is not how bisexuality (or humanity) works,” she wrote of the character, who was played by Halle Berry in a 2005 film.
“Selina is a complicated person, she's drawn to complicated people. In some ways, it’s that simple, though of course, it’s never simple.”
