Pianist Alexandre Tharaud sheds his customary cool to "faire le boeuf" (or "jam") with Frank Braley, Natalie Dessay, Madeleine Peyroux and assorted stars of the Parisian theatre in a programme exploring the legacy of the Jazz Age composer-pianists such as Clément Doucet and Jean Wiéner, whose formidable musical wit is suitably celebrated.
More startling still is "Caramel Mou", created by Jean Cocteau and Darius Milhaud in 1921.
