The popular young soprano's third album is a bit of a cheat, being largely comprised of arias plucked from her two previous albums dedicated to Handel and Mozart, including the splendid duet from Don Giovanni with Bryn Terfel, "Là Ci Darem La Mano".
The three new pieces are all lyric adaptations of instrumental works: "Exsultate Jubilate" is based on the second movement of Karl Jenkins' popular Palladio. Sadly, the frantic manner doesn't show De Niese's gifts to best advantage; much better is James Morgan and Juliette Pochin's arrangement of Marcello's Oboe Concerto for "Pace non trovo", while the standout track is the same duo's self-contained aria "Lucrezia".
