Described by the composer as a "performative installation", the mesmerising Stifters Dinge is subtly transformed by the removal of the visual elements in its purposeful ebb and flow of found and created sound.
Soft clicks suggest the movement of the five mechanised pianos, the voices of Claude Lévi-Strauss, Malcolm X and a tribe of Colombian Indians slide in and out of focus, and the middle-movement idles gracefully over the sound of trickling water.
