New record label 24 Stroke is attracting potential customers by showcasing the talents of its in-house DJs who provide a feast of upbeat house music.

Events kick off this Friday at one of London's finest venues, the Cross, before reincarnating every second Friday of the month. With the DJ working right next to the dancefloor, the intimately sized Cross encourages a strong sociable vibe.

If the weather is suitable you can cool off in the garden chill-out zone and laugh at the queues of people waiting to get into the oversized Bagley's complex across the street.

Punters can expect heavenly decor, plenty of freebies, an interactive multi-media wall and up-and-coming new artists.

Purity aims to introduce a strong party vibe into London's club scene so you can be sure that this launch will go with a bang.

Mark Shimmon takes time out from wrecking the dancefloor at Wildlife to headline proceedings with support from Innocence's Simon Hill, Martin Sharp, Kenny Palmer and Danii B.

SUGARCANDY @ the cross

Same venue - very different vibe. Their third-birthday gig is set to attract hordes of outlandishly dressed hedonists dedicated to the cult of Sugarcandy.

Tall Paul and Adam Freeland will be keeping the beats hard with support from regulars Matt and Declan - but this event is about the punters and they rarely disappoint.

Once again the Cross provides the perfect home for a night of decadence with an interior aesthetic that is almost as brilliant as the clientele.

TRADE @ turnmills

Despite the sad demise of gay club institution, Love Muscle, there are plenty of other great nights offering above-average levels of high- energy house and of these Trade is one of the best Saturday-night gigs in town.

With its laser-filled dancefloor and enough caverns to house a tribe of cavemen, Turnmills is an excellent venue with great chill-out areas and an all-night cafe next door.

Beginning when most clubbers start to wander off home, this gig is definitely not for the faint-hearted.
