Jim Carrey has hit back at Louis CK after the comic ranted about school shooting survivors during a recent set.

Carrey, who regularly shares his own artwork on Twitter, published a new drawing on Thursday, in which he sketched CK next to Emma González, one of the survivors of the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting that left 17 dead on February 14, 2018.

CK appears considerably smaller than González in the drawing, which bears the mention "drawn to scale".

"Louie can’t CK?" Carrey wrote next to the image. Louie was the show created by CK, which ran from 2010 to 2015 on FX.

González, now 19, was one of several students who became activists after the shooting, campaigning for gun control and helping organise the March for Our Lives that took place in March 2018.

Her speech "We call BS", given a few days after the shooting, in which González called out politicians receiving support from the National Rifle Association, promptly went viral.

CK can be heard on audio speaking at New York's Comedy Cellar, according to Metro, complaining about the school shooting survivors and people who use gender-neutral pronouns.

"They testified in front of Congress, these kids," he can be heard saying in the audio clip.

"Like, what the f***? What are you doing? You're young. You should be going crazy. You should be unhinged, not in a suit saying: 'I'm here to tell...' F*** you. You're not interesting 'cause you went to a high school where kids got shot.

"Why does that mean I have to listen to you? How does that make you interesting? You didn't get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I got to listen to you talk?"

CK doesn't refer to González by name in the clip but does appear to be referring to her as well as David Hogg, 18, who also survived the shooting.

In November 2017, CK admitted that accusations of sexual misconduct made against him were true.

“I have spent my long and lucky career talking and saying anything I want,” he said in a statement at the time. “I will now step back and take a long time to listen.”
