Kevin Hart car crash: Actor suffers major injuries after collision in California

Celebrities and fans have sent messages of support to comedian Kevin Hart after he suffered “major back injuries” in a car crash in Malibu.

Hart was travelling in his vintage 1970s Plymouth Barracuda, which was being driven by friend Jared Black, when the vehicle span out of control and rolled down an embankment.

Black and his fiance Rebecca Broxterman, a professional trainer, were both trapped in the vehicle, while Hart was able to leave the scene and call for assistance.

Both he and Black suffered serious injuries – Broxterman was reportedly uninjured. Police said Black had not been drinking.

Photos published by TMZ showed the serious damage caused to the car. According to reports,. the fire department had to saw the roof off to free Black and Broxterman.

“My friend Rebecca who’s my trainer and an endless source of inspiration in my life, was in a horrific accident with her fiance Jared and Kevin Hart,” Instagram influencer Tati Westbrook tweeted. “I’m grateful everyone made it out alive. Please go give her some love and send some prayers to all involved.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who stars with Hart in the forthcoming Jumanji sequel, posted a photo of the pair on Instagram and wrote: “Stop messing with my emotions brother @KevinHart4real. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong.”

Actor Terry Crews added: “Get well soon brother,” while Bryan Cranston wrote: “I’ve just heard that @kevinhart4real was injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles.

“Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother. B.”

Former Superman star Dean Cain tweeted: “Heal quickly and fully @KevinHart4Real”.
