In Which painting by which painter can you find this hole?

Details 334 came from that outrageous slice of Danish bacon, Nikolaj Abraham Abilgaard's The Wounded Philoctetes (or just Philoctetes) (1774-5). It's in the Staten Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen.

The first three correct entries out of the hat came from: Anne Marie Beck Nielsen of York; Helen E Bell of Dunblane; and David Brig of Stockport.
