IN WHICH painting by which painter can you find this swirl?

DETAILS 276 came from The Watchdog (painted around 1650), a noble portrait of a Russian wolfhound by the Dutch animalist Paulus Potter. It is hanging in The Hermitage, St Petersburg.

The first three correct entries drawn out of the bag were sent by: Janet Sprinz of Edinburgh; Bill Goodman of Bristol; and Stuart Horsman of Hillsborough, Sheffield.
