CHANNEL FOUR's weekly gardening programme, Real Gardens, is looking for new recruits - in front of the camera, not behind. Potential contributors don't have to be experts, but must agree to TV crews visiting at least once every two weeks through the growing season. There are no magic makeovers in this series, but volunteers should have some project in mind which the Real Gardens team can help them to achieve.

Typical of Real Gardens's contributors is Annabel Wynne-Jones of Liverpool who lives with her husband Nick and four children in a terraced cottage close to the Mersey. During the four months she was involved in the programme, she returfed the lawn, and built a formal garden with geometrical beds flanked by a new terrace. Interested? If so, contact John Percival at Real Gardens, PO Box 1616, Gerrards Cross SL9 8GD Tel: 01494 870940 or email: mail@arkproductions. demon.co.uk
