OF ALL Hollywood superstar actresses, Jodie Foster seems to bring the most intelligence to her roles. She is well-cast as the keenly sharp scientist who picks up what she believes is a message from distant extra-terrestrials in Contact (8pm Sky Premier). In Robert Zemeckis's (Back to the Future) thoughtful sci-fi film, she goes on to convince the authorities that the aliens are instructing Earth people how to travel to their world. The strong supporting cast features James Woods, Matthew McConaughey, John Hurt and President Bill Clinton (I kid you not).

On the back of such box- office hits as There's Something About Mary and Mousehunt, Lee Evans (right) has become a major Hollywood player. The World of Lee Evans (12 mdn't Paramount Comedy Channel) allows the him to display his talent for physical comedy.
