Having decided to make a grand automotive entrance in Cluub Zarathustra, comedian Simon Munnery (better known as Alan Parker, urban warrior), acquired a second-hand Robin Reliant for pounds 300 and drove it all the way up from London to Edinburgh - a total journey-time of 19 hours, given the Reliant's top speed of 25mph - only to discover, upon arrival at the Pleasance, that the loading doors were too small to get the car on stage.

Missed out on tickets for The Divine Comedy's second sell-out concert with Michael Nyman tonight? Never mind, the group are to play an unscheduled acoustic set during Richard Herring and Stewart Lee's chat show, This Morning With Richard Not Judy II, at 12.30pm today in the Pleasance. And to add to the excitement, 30 tickets will be auctioned off in the courtyard just before the show.
