The final events in this year's season of Independent / Traverse Conferences takes place today. The annual Independent Interview with the National Heritage Minister this year moves to the Opposition benches: the Labour spokeswoman, the sometimes controversial Mo Mowlam MP, talks to the Independent's founding editor, Andreas Whittam Smith.

All conferences are in Traverse 2, Cambridge Street (031-228 1404) and run from 10.30am-11.45am. Tickets are free and available on a first come, first served basis.
