Hoods have become increasingly popular - probably because they can hide a multitude of sins, from a seriously bad hair day to leftover make-up from the night before. Equally, wearing a hood with an otherwise strictly glamorous outfit instantly adds a bit of much sought-after urban grit (cf Calvin Klein and all the other US designer hood-aholics)
