THE Broadcasting Standards Council only upheld two of the public's complaints in its latest bulletin.
One complaint concerning explicit violence stood against an episode of In Suspicious Circumstances (Granada) in which a young girl's murder was repeatedly shown using a slow-motion camera.
The other complaint stood against a pre-Watershed screening of Cannonball Run II (ITV) which included the comments 'shit', 'Oh God', 'Jesus Christ' and 'Sweet Jesus'.
Complaints were not upheld against an episode of EastEnders in which Mandy's description of a cockney Easter parade included the words 'a bunch of wankers'.
