Apart from the inevitable crash-landing of Toy Story at number one, things are getting worryingly cosy in the UK chart - Braveheart has been in there for 30 weeks, and things can only get worse since it won Best Picture. There's hope in the US chart: the Coen Brothers' funny and brutal Fargo has made a respectable showing; Spike Lee's 'phone-sex comedy Girl 6 has grossed less on more screens, but what the people really want is Sharon Stone and Isabelle Adjani in Diabolique, a remake of Henri-Georges Clouzot's Les Diaboliques.
