Film: The X files
One of the problems facing director Rob Bowman in bringing this week's big release, The X Files Fight the Future, to the silver screen for the first time was treading the fine line between entertaining traditional summer film audiences and keeping fans of the cult TV series happy. Devotees can look forward to the return of "cigarette-smoking man" and expect further revelations about the role of the shadowy syndicate and the sinister "Black Oil" and can find out if Mulder and Scully (right) finally get together. First-time viewers have been warned.
