Cultural Life: Roger Moore, Actor
Interview

Film
I went to see Skyfall at a private preview in London before it opened. It's one of the best, if not the best, Bond films ever made and Daniel [Craig] has certainly established himself as the best 007. On the way out of JFK airport a couple of weeks ago a man stopped me and thanked me for Skyfall. I told him I wasn't even in it, but he said, "Your enthusiasm for it prompted me to go, and boy am I glad I did." I only wish I'd invested a few quid in it!
Music
I greatly enjoy chamber music and find it very relaxing and soothing. I'm also a huge fan of Frank Sinatra and could listen to him all day. My wife Kristina enjoys anything by Engelbert Humperdinck – I try and hide the CDs, but she always finds them again.
Books
I've just finished the latest Jo Nesbo thriller Phantom; I love the series of Harry Hole thrillers. My wife has just passed me Counting One's Blessings: The Selected Letters of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother by William Shawcross.
Television
To be honest our greatest joy is watching old British comedy programme such as Only Fools and Horses, Keeping Up Appearances and Dad's Army. They are timeless and I just never stop laughing.
Roger Moore's 'Bond On Bond: The Ultimate Book on 50 Years of Bond Movies' is out now.
