Screen Talk: Gainsbourg will look fine in 3D

Wim Wenders' 3D project Everything Will Be Fine has added Charlotte Gainsbourg and Marie-Josee Croze to its cast. James Franco stars as a writer trying to live with accidentally causing the death of a child. The movie is shooting now in Montreal before taking a break and resuming in winter 2014.

Screenwriter to organise crime

Nathaniel Halpern has been hired to write Joe Petrosino, a real-life cop story set against the rise of organised crime and the birth of forensic investigation in New York at the beginning of the 20th century. Petrosino battled wits and brawn with Don Vito Cascioferro, the first "Godfather" of New York.

Fish follow-up nets big voices

Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy will join Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks in the voice cast for the Disney/Pixar Finding Nemo sequel, Finding Dory. Keaton and Levy will play Dory's long-lost parents, with Ty Burrell also on board as a whale named Bailey. Finding Dory is set one year after the first film.

Hendricks voices pirate fairy role

Disney is also preparing for another animation adventure The Pirate Fairy, due in spring 2014. Christina Hendricks and Tom Hiddleston lead the voice cast for the film. The Mad Men actress stars as Zarina, the pirate fairy in question, while Hiddleston, plays James, a young Captain Hook.

Studio wizardry unites writers

Warner Bros has teamed two writers to work on a big-screen take on the tale of Merlin, the wizard. The studio is teaming David Farr, whose credits include Hanna, with David Hill, a Game of Thrones executive. After liking aspects of Farr's and Hill's individual pitches, the studio brought them together.

Tron director is in the zone

Joseph Kosinski(Tron: Legacy) is in talks to direct the Warner Bros update of The Twilight Zone, with Leonardo DiCaprio producing. Several writers have worked on it, including Sherlock Holmes' Anthony Peckham. Created by Rod Serling, The Twilight Zone was a sci-fi TV series then a 1983 movie.
