In a spin-off from the Shrek films, the comical cat character Puss in Boots is getting his own film. The first teaser trailer was released on March 4, offering the preview of the animated tale in 3D.
This one-minute glimpse at the swashbuckler, voiced by Antonio Banderas, shows his dashing persona, his bold leaps and his smooth sword-fighting skills. Women swoon and kids cheer as the feline swaggers into town.
As a prequel to Shrek, this early adventure finds Puss in Boots teamed up with Humpty Dumpty, voiced by Zach Galifianakis ( The Hangover), and Kitty, voiced by Salma Hayek ( Frida), in a scheme to steal the goose that lays the golden eggs.
From the producers of How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda, the family tale is directed by Chris Miller, who was the voice of the Puppet Master in Shrek the Third, which he wrote and directed.
Puss in Boots hits theaters on November 4 in North America and November 30 in France, then rolling out to the UK, Germany, Brazil and more in December.
