As actor Tom Hanks prepares to direct his second feature film, Larry Crowne, a comedy that he will also star in with Julia Roberts, he has released a list of other cast members via a photograph on Twitter.
In an unorthodox announcement - and an alternative to a press release, an image of actors' headshots pinned to a casting board was posted by Hanks on Twitpics, revealing the interesting cast that will join the film.
The actors include Bryan Cranston (Emmy winner on the television hit Breaking Bad), Taraji P. Henson ( The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), George Takei ( Star Trek: Starfleet Command), Gugu Mbatha-Raw ( Doctor Who), Cedric the Entertainer ( Cadillac Records), and Rami Malek ( Night in the Museum).
The Larry Crowne story follows a man forced to find a new perfect career, who seeks to reinvent himself. Co-written by Tom Hanks and Nia Vardolos ( My Big Fat Greek Wedding), perhaps his own life as an actor/director/producer and writer inspired the script.
Next, Hanks will be heard as Woody in Toy Story 3 releasing this summer. He will also play Robert Langdon again in The Lost Symbol, a film adaptation of author Dan Brown's successful best-selling book series that took off with T he DaVinci Code.
