A short film shot entirely from a pig’s point of view has been released to mark the start of the Chinese Year of the Pig.

“M6nths” has no voiceover in an effort to show the animal “as an individual, capable of feeling pain and joy, which when raised intensively is seen merely as a product”, the directors say.

It received a Panda award (known as a “Green Oscar”).

Dutch filmmaker Eline Helena Schellekens said: “'M6nths’ shows life through the eyes of a piglet growing up on an industrial farm without ever experiencing the outside world.”
