Kate Winslet stuns Margot Robbie during interview by praising Woody Allen
Her facial expression is priceless
After reacting to Kate Winslet's defence of controversial director Woody Allen, it's clear Margot Robbie's death stare deserves its own award.
The I, Tonya actress sat beside Winslet on The Envelope web series with the Los Angeles Times, as she praised Allen.
“Woody Allen is an extraordinary writer,” said Winslet. “He’s obviously known for having created extraordinary roles, very very powerful and complicated roles for women, for many many years."
Silence speaks volumes, and The Wonder Wheel actress' statement didn't go over well with Robbie, who gave Winslet the ultimate side-eye.
Winslet's fulsome praise of the director in the current climate is surprising; alongside his acting and directing credits, Allen is known for marrying his adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn and for allegedly abusing his daughter Dylan Farrow 25 years ago. He has always denied the allegations.
Robbie's reaction wasn't the only one of note during this roundtable: Jessica Chastain wasn't having Winslet's comments either.
Chastain has previously spoken out about her decision not to work with Allen, so her smirk wasn't a shock.
It's hard to believe Allen still has actors and actresses on his side still, but he does, and this interview is more proof.
