Mark Wahlberg ( The Fighter) and Jonah Hill ( Get Him to the Greek) are teaming up for Good Time Gang, an action-comedy, reports the Los Angeles Times.
In the vein of Lethal Weapon and The Other Guys, in which Wahlberg costarred with Will Ferrell, the film is written by Max Landis, the son of John Landis ( The Blues Brothers).
The story follows a pair of incompetent mercenaries who take on a terrorist case in an effort to get ahead. But things get complicated when they uncover that one of them is related to the target.
Hill will be seen in the comedy The Sitter with Sam Rockwell in August, the baseball drama Moneyball with Brad Pitt, due September 23, and 21 Jump Street, the film adaptation of the 1980s American television series starring Johnny Depp as a teen cop, due in theaters March 2012.
Wahlberg stars in Ted with Mila Kunis ( Black Swan), about a man with a teddy bear that comes to life. Opening in July 2012, the comedy is directed/written by Seth McFarlane, who created the hit animated American television shows The Family Guy and The Cleveland Show.
The actor also plans more dramatic roles in gangster film When Corruption Was King, a remake of the 1971 film Billy Jack, and the sequel to The Fighter.
