Alice World Premieres for the Prince of Wales

The Royal World Premiere of "Alice in Wonderland" will occur at the Odeon's on Leicester Square in London to benefit The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts, February 25. The fantasy adventure in 3D stars Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. The actors attending the red carpet event will be joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Inspired by Lewis Carroll books ‘Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and ‘Through the Looking-Glass,' this interpretation by director Tim Burton (Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas) follows a 19-year-old Alice on her return to Wonderland to reconnect with old friends and discovery her destiny-without any memory of her previous visit.
The film also features Australian actress Mia Wasikowska as Alice and UK comedian Matt Lucas as both Tweedledum and Tweedledee. An impressive cast of British actors lend their voices to the fanciful characters, including Stephen Fry as the Cheshire Cat, Alan Rickman playing Absolem the caterpillar, Michael Sheen in the role of The White Rabbit, Paul Whitehouse as The March Hare, Barbara Windsor portrays the Dormouse, and Christopher Lee is the Jabberwocky.
Alice in Wonderland will be released worldwide on March 5, with a few countries to follow in March, and France, Brazil, Argentina, and Japan in April.
