Anjelica Huston has torn into several notable Hollywood figures, including Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton, in a brand new interview.

The Oscar-winning actor, who stars in John Wick: Chapter 3, refused to hold back when questioned about her views on the current state of her fellow actors' careers by Vulture.

She took aim at others after being asked why her Prizzi's Honor co-star and ex-husband Jack Nicholson doesn't make films anymore.

“If he’s not being offered anything as delicious as he has done in his past, why would he?" she said. "He has enough money to live three lifetimes more, and particularly in the way that he lives; he doesn’t go out and spend tons of money buying fur coats for girls. I don’t even know if he buys art anymore. Also in terms of the work that’s out there, what are they going to give him, The Bucket List? That's an insult."

She added, referencing De Niro: “I don’t want to see Jack [Nicholson] doing Meet the Fockers.”

When pushed about her views on De Niro's current career choices, she continued: “How big can this nut be? I guess he has maybe a couple of ex-wives, right? Not many, but what does this fellow spend his money on? He’s got Nobu. He’s got the Tribeca Film Festival — he’s not spending the film money on that.”

Huston also said it was an easy decision for her to sign up to the new John Wick film, but took a dig at Diane Keaton in the process.

“Quite honestly, I’m looking for movies that impress me in some way, that aren’t apologetically humble or humiliating like, “Band of cheerleaders gets back together for one last hurrah,” you know. An old-lady cheerleader movie. I don’t like that kind of thing.”

Keaton's new film Poms follows a retiree who organises a cheerleading squad at her retirement home.

Huston also said Bill Murray was a "s***" to her while filming Wes Anderson film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, but that he showed a softer side when showing up to her husband Robert Graham's funeral years later.

John Wick: Chapter 3 Parabellum is out in cinemas 17 May.
