Armie Hammer has been dropped from another film in the wake of sexual assault allegations made against him, reports claim.

In January, the actor stepped back from his role opposite Jennifer Lopez in the film Shotgun Wedding after messages allegedly sent by him surfaced online. At the time, Hammer described the claims as “bulls***”.

Earlier this month, a woman identified as Effie publicly accused the Call Me By Your Name star of raping and abusing her, which Hammer’s attorney once again denied.

However, Variety reported on Monday (29 March) that Hammer will no longer star in Cold War thriller Billion Dollar Spy.

The film, directed by Amma Asante, was due to feature Hammer and Mads Mikkelsen. Representatives for Asante and film company Walden Media declined Variety’s request for comment.

Billion Dollar Spy was the last feature on Hammer’s forthcoming films slate, meaning every studio officially planning to work with him but yet to film before the allegations has since cut ties.

In March, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed it was investigating Hammer as part of a probe into alleged sexual assault.
