Avengers: Endgame: Chris Hemsworth reveals he saw Marvel film incognito with his children
Actor has a daughter and two sons
Chris Hemsworth has revealed he went to see Avengers: Endgame incognito with his three children after they begged him to take them to a showing.
The actor, who plays Thor, told Variety that upon returning to his native Australia after the Marvel film’s LA premiere in April he took his daughter and two sons to the cinema like a regular moviegoer.
“My kids were dying to see it,” he told the magazine. “I wasn’t going to take them. They were like, ‘Dad, we have to go!’ We found a small cinema so we wouldn’t get overwhelmed. I wondered if it would hold their attention for three hours.”
India Rose, his seven-year-old daughter, and her five-year-old twin brothers Sasha and Tristan, “loved” the blockbuster, according to Hemsworth.
Asked how he managed not to attract attention, the actor added: “We already had our seats in the back. I had a hat on.”
As luck would have it, the actor and his family stepped inside the cinema just as the trailer for Men in Black: International, in which Hemsworth plays one of the two main roles, was playing – meaning the outing was “kind of a double hit” for him.
Hemsworth has played Thor since 2011, when the first Marvel film dedicated to the God of Thunder came out.
He told Variety he would “love to do more” films as the character in the future.
