Avengers Endgame: US cinema chain to show all 22 MCU films in 59-hour marathon
It'll start with Iron Man and finish with Captain Marvel
A cinema chain in the US will show all 22 films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of one giant marathon.
AMC Theatres is challenging the most intense superhero fan to commit to the event that will start with 2008 film Iron Man and finish with Captain Marvel, which was released just last month.
That’s a lot of time – 59 hours and seven minutes, to be exact (thanks for the calculation, Slash Film). That’s more than two days in one cinema.
This is all in anticipation for Avengers: Endgame, which will be released three days after the marathon takes place on 26 April.
Tickets for the film, which is strongly expected to be one of the most successful films of the decade, are officially on sale - and eBay is already listing them for over $1,000.
The studio’s official website is teasing the film as a dramatic conclusion to a tale that’s been 11 years and 22 films in the making and, just one day after tickets
Events will pick up shortly after the end of Infinity War and the mid-credits scene n recent blockbuster Captain Marvel, which saw half of the superhero ensemble die after Thanos’s destructive finger snap. Fans believe that Endgame will see the surviving characters, including Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America (Chris Evans) and Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), attempt to reverse the cataclysmic events.
Many theories have been doing the rounds, but one that has fans particularly excited centres around the character of Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), who is expected to play a huge role in the film.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in cinemas on 26 April. The marathon takes place at AMC Theatres on 23 April – tickets are on sale here.
