Batman v Superman: Ben Affleck 're-wrote the script dressed in his Batman suit'

Looks like the Batfleck didn't deem Batman v Superman's screenplay quite worthy of the great, incomparable Batfleck.

US Weekly's insider source claims the actor, "would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit. Then he would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of."

It does look, however, like Affleck's merely coming from a place of absolute passion for the project. A fan of the comics, he's reportedly fascinated with the character; already remarking to Entertainment Weekly; "My first reaction was, 'Are you sure?' At the time I was 40, 41, and had just finished Argo, and I felt like 'This seems like a strange way to get to Batman.' But Zack convinced me."

"I thought if I was going to direct a movie like this, which I would like to do at some point, I need to have something of a refresher course of how these movies are done," he further reflected. Indeed, Affleck's sense of protectiveness over the character may only further fuel rumours that he's looking to direct himself in the next solo Batman movie.

What's actually most awkward here is the fact one of Batman v Superman's writers just happens to be Chris Terrio; the Oscar-winning screenwriter who won in 2013 for, you guessed it, Affleck's own Argo.

Plus, the idea of Affleck awkwardly sitting in his trailer in the Batman suit, grumbling lines into a mirror before nodding to himself and enthusiastically scribbling away; well that's an image likely far richer and more entertaining than anything Batman v Superman will inevitably deliver.
