Bradley Cooper opens up on strict coronavirus lockdown with his mother: ‘If she gets it, it’s over’

Actor says he and his family ‘have not left the house’

Bradley Cooper says he and his family have observed a strict lockdown to ensure his mother’s safety during the coronavirus pandemic.

The actor broached the topic in a new conversation with actor Anthony Ramos for Interview Magazine.

Ramos, one of the stars of the upcoming musical drama In the Heights, starred as Ally’s friend Ramon in Cooper’s 2018 directorial debut A Star Is Born.

“I’m with my daughter and my mother and my two dogs, and we have not left the house,” Cooper told Ramos during the chat.

He then outlined the precautions they have been taking, specifically to protect the health of his mother, Gloria Campano.

“My mother is going to be 80, and she has a colostomy bag, so I can’t let anybody in the house,” he added. “And I can’t leave the house, because if she gets it, it’s over.”

Cooper told Ramos he has been running “a one-man preschool” out of the “little townhouse” where the family have been staying together.

The actor has a three-year-old daughter from his previous relationship with Irina Shayk. The pair split in 2019.

Cooper’s father, Charles Cooper, died in 2011 of lung cancer.
