Christian Bale is the latest actor reportedly in negotiations to play Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Last week Leonard DiCaprio reportedly bowed out of the project in order to take a “lengthy break” from acting, leaving a high profile acting job on the table.
The Danny Boyle biopic, which is unconnected to last year’s Job s starring Ashton Kutcher in the title role, has struggled to get off the ground after David Fincher pulled out of directing.
With a screenplay written by The Social Network’s Aaron Sorkin, it is based on the best-selling Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson.
The drama will take place backstage during three Apple product launches: the Mac, the NeXT and the iPod.
