Cloverfield 3 release date: JJ Abrams' God Particle pushed back, name reverted to 2017 Cloverfield Movie
The film will now reach cinemas in October 2017

Earlier this year, rumours swelled that the JJ Abrams produced God Particle was actually the third Cloverfield film, much like how 10 Cloverfield Lane was produced under the name The Cellar.
Paramount has seemingly confirmed the rumours, having pushed back the science-fiction thriller eight months and naming the project 2017 Cloverfield Movie.
The film was initially scheduled for 24 February 2017 but has been moved to 27 October. Filming began on God Particle/Cloverfield 3 in June earlier this year, with Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Zhang Ziyi, David Oyelowo and Chris O’Dowd all starring.
According to the plot synopses, God Particle/Cloverfield 3 follows a team of astronauts aboard a space station who find themselves alone after a scientific experiment causes the earth to ‘disappear’. Another space shuttle then approaches the team who are unsure whether they are friend or foe.
Fans began speculating about the film being another Cloverfield film after viral marketing for 10 Cloverfield Lane included a sound-clip believed to be from the International Space Station.
