An all-star cast is catching on to Steven Soderbergh's Contagion, the director's next project with Matt Damon and Jude Law has Kate Winslet and Marion Cotillard set to join the team.

The action-thriller is about an outbreak of a deadly virus threatening four continents, weaving together various storylines, similar to the director's Traffic. The script is by Scott Z. Burns who wrote The Bourne Ultimatum and Soderbergh's The Informant!

Soderbergh is currently shooting Knockout, another star-packed film with Antonio Banderas, Michael Fassbender, Michael Douglas, Bill Paxton, and Ewan McGregor. It follows a black ops soldier played by martial arts fighter Gina Carano.

In a stylistic twist of material, Soderbergh also plans to direct a romantic musical, Cleo, set in the 1920s about the story of Cleopatra, Antony, and Caesar. It features Catherine Zeta-Jones and Ray Winstone.

His narrative documentary, And Everything is Going Fine, is a portrait of monologuist Spalding Gray, to be screened at the upcoming SXSW Film Festival and Conference in Austin, Texas in March.
