The Dark Tower: Here are all of the film's hidden Stephen King references

From Misery to The Shining, Christine to Cujo

It's Stephen King season.

The author has two of his works about to hit cinemas in the form of The Dark Tower and It, with the former filled to the brim with Easter eggs and references to some of his other most beloved works.

The Dark Tower sees Idris Elba as King's The Gunslinger, Roland Deschain, and Matthew McConaughey as the Man in Black, in an epic mix of fantasy, horror, and western styles set in a realm known as Mid-World.

The last living member of the knightly order of gunslingers, Roland's fabled quest is to find The Dark Tower that is rumoured to be the nexus of all universes before it's destroyed by The Man in Black, Walter; a warlock who has already reigned destruction on the people of Mid-World.

A new featurette for the film flashes past these references, though it may take a little bit of detective work to figure out some of the more obscure clues tucked within the film's frames.
