The biggest moments from last night's Golden Globes

Patricia Arquette accidentally clobbered Joey King over the head with her Golden Globe award, leaving a bruise on her forehead that has been revealed in photos posted to Twitter.

Both Arquette and King starred in Hulu’s The Act and earned Golden Globe nods for their performances in the series. King was nominated for her lead performance while Arquette won for best actress in a supporting role.

After the ceremony on Sunday (5 January), the actors celebrated at the InStyle & Warner Bros after-party, where the accident involving the award occurred.

According to Variety, they were posing in an elevator photo booth when Arquette began singing and waving around her Golden Globe award, inadvertently hitting King in the forehead.

“Patricia Arquette accidentally hit me in the head with her Golden Globe,” wrote King on Twitter. That sentence will give me bragging rights for the rest of my life.”

Arquette replied to the tweet with an apology, posting: “What happens in the elevator stays in the elevator! No, seriously. I’m so sorry sweetest one!”
