One of the stars of Harry Potter has revealed they have never re-watched the films – and has a rather touching reason for choosing not to.
Tom Felton, who played Slytherin poster boy Draco Malfoy in all eight films, decided to hold off from viewing the franchise so he can share the experience with his future children.
“I have seen the Potter films during the premieres, but other than that no — never! I’m saving that for a sacred day,” he said in an interview with People Magazine, adding: “I have visions of doing that with my two kids when I’m a little bit older.”
Felton, 31, also shot down rumours that he had a rift with any of his former co-stars, revealing he recently saw Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway and enjoyed a trip to the beach with Hermione Granger star Emma Watson.
The British actor’s latest project, web series Origin, reunites him with Natalia Tena who played Nymphadora Tonks in the franchise. It’s now available to watch on YouTube Premium.
Earlier this week, several Harry Potter cast members – including Watson and Neville Longbottom actor Matthew Lewis – sent video messages of good luck to Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) who made it through to the final of US competition Dancing with the Stars.
