The actor has been holding weekly demonstrations against the climate crisis in the US capital.
Photos and video footage taken in the Hart Senate Office Building show all three actors being apprehended by officers along with other protestors.
Fonda has been wearing the same red coat since the beginning of the demonstrations, and images of her in hand restraints have become a weekly occurrence.
This week’s demonstration focused on the role of women’s rights in the fight against climate change.

Fonda has said that the Fire Drill Fridays movement was inspired by Greta Thunberg and the youth climate strikes, among others.

The actor has moved to Washington in order to be “closer to the epicentre of the fight for our climate”.
